Introduced drawers with advanced joinery techniques :Ms. Terauchi

Toyohisa

Ms. Terauchi put the skills she learned in the workshop to full use to create a two-drawer chest. She masterfully completed this piece, which features advanced joinery techniques—including dovetail joints for the carcase and dovetail joints combined with a frame-and-panel front panel for the drawers. Even other participants in the same workshop were impressed. The finished piece certainly caught everyone’s attention.

Introduced cross cut guide using acrylic plate :Ms. Terauchi

What Ms. Terauchi is holding is a 20mm-thick acrylic plate. She said it was inexpensive. She attached a fence and a magnetic sheet to it to create her own cross cut guide. The advantage over aluminum or wooden cross cut guide is that you can see the workpiece being clamped and confirm that it is making proper contact with the fence.

Introduced the Box Joint Jig Used with a Circular Saw Table: Mr. Ueda

Mr. Ueda made a box joint jig for use with a circular saw table. It’s an excellent tool that allows you to freely adjust the spacing between the teeth.

Presented the two-tier shelf for the interior of his trunk :Mr. Sugita

Mr. Sugita presented the two-tier shelf he had previously announced for the interior of his trunk. He plans to set it up next to his workbench and use it as a side table to hold his tools. It features a French cleat construction.
