introduces the different types of western planes :Mr. Dalton

Dalton-san introduces the different types of western planes, their names and numbers. He also introduced the use of grooving planes and a router plane (inset photo). Many of them are no longer manufactured and need to be purchased on the second-hand market, which is a bit risky for us in Japan to purchase. We would have liked to know more about how to use western planes, rather than detailed model numbers and other explanations. I would also have liked to have been introduced to the block planes (60-1/2) that many people use.

Introduce high-precision working tools :Mr. Yazu

Yazu-san introduced straightedges, to examine straight lines and planes, and high-precision squares. Right angle is fundamental to woodworking. As woodworking improves, it is the accuracy of right angle that becomes a concern. We were able to see a Matsui Seimitsu Kogyo square with a length of 300 mm, which we don’t usually see.
