[Demonstration] Sugita woodworking methods: Sugita

The theme this year is ‘Woodworking experience’.
I will demonstrate various techniques such as cutting wood straight and at right angles, cutting to the same size, and joining woods using ‘Sugita woodworking methods’, which rarely uses power tools.
There will also be workshops on making boxes and coasters, so if you are interested in woodworking, please join us.
[Demonstration] Woodworking demonstration by Ian Dalton

Mr Ian Dalton, a woodworker from the UK, will give a demonstration of woodworking. His outstanding technique astonishes audiences every year.

In the DIYSHOW 2023, he made a trapezoidal drawer (made to match the shape of a workbench), a mallet made from a fox wedged tenon, and a dovetail stool.
We don’t know what will be demonstraited at this year’s DIYSHOW until the day of the event. Please look forward to it!
[workshop] A cross-cut guide and a coaster: Sakuya

This is a workshop where you can experience making your own cross-cut guide and a coaster.
You will be able to perform accurate sawing with the cross-cut guide you made, which will definitely come in handy in your future DIY projects!
[Workshop] A small rabbet-jointed box with favorite bottom plate: Umemura

This is a workshop where you can make an original small box using your favorite bottom plate material (sash fabric, genuine leather, Inden pattern fabric, felt).
Through box making, you can experience rabbet-joining using saw woodworking.
[Workshop] A wooden house-shaped accesory case : Fujita

Let’s make a small wooden house-shaped accessory case.
Have fun coloring and decorating.
